Here's a portrait I did of m good friend John Laidlaw, he's a bouncer at the Asbury Lanes. I wish I had better pics or pics of it up during the show, fail lol. Anyhow it was a fun project and I did it in oil which I hardly ever use.
Every year for the past 5 years or so Bloomingdales has been hiring me to do hand painted gifts for their customers in the fragrance dept. This year we did ornaments!
Living in beautiful Asbury Park which is sort of like a mini beachy Brooklyn. Most of my artistic interest and talent tends towards portraiture, but I stray and connect with all sorts of materials and subjects (mostly watercolor on paper). It's hard to pinpoint exactly what inspires me and my work. There's too much greatness from the past and present, I'm basically overflowed if you know what I mean. Isn't it jut wonderful what people can create?
